Easy and Inexpensive Ways to Organize Craft Supplies

Children love crafts, and they are a great way to encourage their creativity. But all the supplies can easily become overwhelming and messy. By creating a designated spot for craft supplies, you can keep the supplies easily accessible and neatly organized. Try a couple of these tips -
- Choose a convenient spot in your home for all the supplies. You may or may not want children to be able to access all of it, depending on the age of your children and the supplies (paint, for instance). A spare cabinet or shelf is a great choice.
- Use inexpensive bins to contain supplies, or cover boxes with pretty paper. Label each box with its contents so you can always easily find what you need.
- Cover well washed empty tin cans (make sure there are no sharp edges) with paper to store colored pencils, markers, and paint brushes.
- Store paint, glue, etc. toward the top of your storage piece so there won't be any messy surprises. Place crayons and paper at the bottom so your children can grab them whenever they want to draw.
